Kansas City, Missouri has one of the highest EV adoption rates in the country-lead by their local power supplier. According to Business Wire (CLICK HERE), KC topped the nation in EV growth for the second quarter in a row. A major reason for the growth is the work of KCP&L and their “Clean Charge Network“.

“The KCP&L Clean Charge Network is one of the nation’s largest electric car charging networks and the first major network implemented by a public utility. Nearly 95 percent of the planned 1,000 public charging stations have been installed throughout the Kansas City metro area, with more deployed every day. The network has offered free charging to EV drivers since its debut.”

At Park to Spark®, we believe that the power suppliers/utilities should drive EV adoption. EV fuel infrastructure is virtually everywhere. More power suppliers should capitalize on this existing infrastructure by educating their customers about EV’s.
