A Soinic Drive-In fast food restaurant in Texas has installed two EV charge spots at its location. The San Antonio Business Journal reports that the Texas location is one of two sites where Sonic is testing the idea of providing free EV charging while customers wait for their order.

At Park to Spark™ we support all EV charging. We suggest that these charge spots will be more successful in raising awareness then they will in actual tangible EV charging benefit. We’re not sure that the duration of a typical visit to a fast food location would result in much charging.
